Music courses have been offered at Phoenix College since the 1920s, making the Music Program one of the oldest in the state of Arizona.

Whether students are seeking traditional or vocational courses, they will find a wide variety in the Phoenix College Music program. Academic courses are offered in areas such as composition, history, music technology, multimedia, theory, and audio recording. Certificates and degrees in Audio Production Technologies, Music Business and Electronic Music allow student to gain skills and knowledge in more specialized areas of interest.

The Music Program also offers unique performance opportunities, along with private instruction for voice and many instruments. Serious musicians or those just looking to enrich their musical background will find an educational experience to fit their needs.

Nationally and internationally renowned performers, conductors, composers, scholars, and teachers form the ranks of the PC Music faculty and are devoted to providing access to quality music education for all students.

Students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university as a Music Major should read the information contained within the Music Transfer Program page, as well as contact the Transfer Center for specific information on transfer requirements. Music students must see an advisor in the Music Building prior to enrollment every semester.
