Physics is the study of the fundamental laws that govern all matter and energy in the universe and there are numerous focus areas within physics. Many physicists work for optics companies designing lasers for electronic devices. Other physicists work in the medical field creating new, nuclear scanning and diagnostic tools, and still others work for government agencies like NASA engineering robots that will explore Mars and the moons of Jupiter.
As a student of physics you have the opportunity to learn how:

The completion of physics courses do not lead to a specific Phoenix College program degree; however, most courses satisfy the natural science requirements (see General Education Designation) or program electives in fulfillment of an Associates Degree or Certificate and are a requirement for many health occupation programs.

Courses taught at Phoenix College are lower division collegiate courses that may transfer to a four-year college or university as program requirement credits, elective credits, and/or graduation requirements for the receiving institution.
