Professional Alumni Connection: Friday, March 4, 2011, 12 Noon - 1 p.m. Location: Liberal Arts Building, Room A-106. Professionals from several occupational fields return to campus to share career wisdom, and professional do’s and don’ts with current students. Take advantage of this opportunity to network, ask questions, and learn the professional ‘how-to’ from Phoenix College Alumni. Bring your lunch. Free and open to the public. In collaboration with the Phoenix College Honors Program. Panelists include: Joe Bousard '56, music and theatre professional for over forty years and owner of JBL Productions; George Diaz, Jr. '93, seasoned professional in the legislative, govenrnmental and public affairs industry with Pinnacle West Capital Corporation; Megan McPherson '05, senior auditor with Wells Fargo Bank; and Jeff Peabody '86, expert in fire investigations and Captain with Phoenix Fire Department Investigations Unit. Willis Peterson Photography Exhibit: The Glory of Nature's Form. Special Artist Reception on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.; Exhibit runs from March 7 - 25. Location: Eric Fischl Gallery, Fine Arts Building, second Floor. Phoenix College proudly presents internationally-renowned wildlife and nature photographer and PC alumnus Willis Peterson '47. His exhibit of stunning images will be showcased in the Eric Fischl Gallery in throughout March during regular gallery hours, Mon.-Thurs. from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Free and open to the public. Half-Century Club Spring Annual Meeting & Luncheon: Friday, March 25, 2011, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Location: Bob Howell Alumni Center & Culinary Cafe. Celebrating the Class of 1961 on their 50th anniversary! Keynote speaker - Frank Barrios, author and historian, will present "Happy Birthday Arizona." Frank will give insight into what Arizona is planning for the state's Centennial Celebration in 2012. Cost is $20 per person. Space is limited - please RSVP today!
Alumni Hall of Fame - 2011: Now accepting nominations for 2011 honorees! Nominate a PC alum, employee or retiree for this prestigious honor. To place your nomination, visit phoenixcollege.edu/alumni. Deadline for nominations is March 31, 2011. Honorees will be recognized at the Phoenix College History Makers event in November.

Eric Fischl Lecture Series and Student Art Competition: Wednesday, April 13, 2011, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.. Location: Phoenix Art Museum - Whiteman Hall. Eric Fischl welcomes artist Andres Serrano for this seventh annual event and presents the prestigious Vanguard Awards, $2,500 cash prizes for best in show entry to the Phoenix College Student Art Competition.
