Veterans - Your Career Begins Here!

Phoenix College is partnering with the Bureau of Land Management and Phoenix and Maricopa County Workforce Connections for a unique 16-week training program to prepare veterans for a rewarding career in conservation and resource management. 

The next Veterans Semester of Success begins January 14th, 2013 and runs until May 10th.

Here are the benefits of signing up for this innovative new program:

  • Earn up to 12 college credits 
  • Get trained for a rewarding career 
  • Earn a full-time income for 16 weeks 
  • No fees, no tuition costs

You will earn credit and/or credentials in Wildland Firefighting, Environmental Ethics, Field Biology, Career Readiness, Wilderness First Aid, and more. You'll also get lots of on-the-job training on projects such as trail-building, habitat restoration, and invasive plant management. And you'll be earning a paycheck the whole time, whether you're in the class or out in the field!

This program is open to veterans from all service branches. All tuition and fees are paid, so it will not affect your GI Bill or other educaon benefits. Participants must be physically fit and have reliable transportaon to Phoenix College.
