Public Safety Update/Summary of Incidents/December 15 – December 21, 2013
Only one incident was reported this past week.
Dec 16; 10:30 am: Public Safety was advised of an incident that occurred on 12-13-2013 involving a staff member getting bit by a feral cat near the Hanley Center. The staff member was attempting to provide assistance to the animal and was bit on the finger.
REMEMBER: As a safety precaution; the feral cats on our campus are wild and should not be handled by anyone other than professionals.
No medical or motor vehicle incidents were reported during this period.
We are having a bike theft issue on campus. We recommend the purchase of a good lock to protect your investment. If you observe suspicious activity around the bike racks, please contact Public Safety immediately. Also, we are having thefts of items left unattended. Unfortunately in our current society we cannot take the risk of leaving anything you value unsecured or unattended.
Safety: Safety on our PC Campus is all of our concern and responsibility as involved community partners. If you see activity that appears suspicious and/or destructive, call Public Safety to report it: give the location, type of activity and description/s of those involved if possible. They may be committing a crime or just need assistance that we can help with. The Safety Office phone is staffed 24/7. The number is 602-285-7254.
NOTE: Faculty members are encouraged to share the safety updates with their students.
End of update.
