Joyce Krahn Memorial Scholarship & Math Faculty Scholarship
The Joyce Krahn Memorial and Math Faculty Scholarships award up to $600 to an eligible Phoenix College math student to encourage further study of mathematics. The scholarships are awarded at the end of Spring semester.
Since these awards are given to encourage students to study more mathematics, one of the following methods of disbursement will be followed depending upon the student’s math level at the time of the award:
$150 will be awarded for enrolling in MAT 182, and another $250 will be awarded for enrolling in MAT 220 having successfully completed MAT 182 with a C or better. Upon successfully completing both courses with a B or better, the student will receive the final $200.
$150 will be awarded for enrolling in MAT 220, and another $250 will be awarded for enrolling in MAT 230 having successfully completed MAT 220 with a C or better. Upon successfully completing both courses with a B or better, the student will receive the final $200.
Both courses must be taken at Phoenix College to earn the awards. The awards must be collected by the start of Spring semester 2016 or the remaining uncollected funds will be forfeited.
