PC to Host Phoenix Model UN Conference

January 25, 2013
Model UN

Phoenix College will host a Model UN Conference on Saturday, February 9, 2013. The conference is open to college and high school students. Members of the community are welcome to participate.

Agenda topics will include Developing Sustainable Agricultural Practices and Empowering Women in Newly Democratic Countries.

The Model United Nations, a simulation of the United Nations General Assembly, is one of the outstanding leadership experiences available to PC students. The Phoenix College Model UN routinely captures national awards while providing a unique opportunity for students to assume the role of a UN ambassador.

Students participating in the Model United Nations acquire and practice skills in public speaking, writing and parliamentary procedure. The experience brings a great sense of global awareness and willingness to solve problems through diplomacy.
