Library Media Request
The Library has a budget for faculty use media. Both DVD and streaming video formats are an option, based on availability. DVDs are purchased and housed in the Library and can be reserved for the week you need and checked out for use for one week at a time. Also, the Library can lease or purchase access for streaming video to use with your classes.
The criteria for purchasing both DVD and streaming video are:
- An affordable price
- Access is available for any student/class
- Subject is not specific to only a very limited audience
The streaming video titles could be used in an in person class (as a homework assignment) or online classes as part of the course. The Library will research the possibility of obtaining the titles for you. (Not every title is available in a streaming format).
As an FYI, here is a link to some streaming video titles we currently subscribe to from Films for the Humanities.
If you are looking for companies that provide streaming video content, here is a link to a list of vendors we can usually order titles from.
