The Phoenix College Honors Program provides opportunities for bright and talented students to make the most of their higher education through access to small classes, outstanding faculty, campus involvement, community service, travel, and interaction with other like‐minded students. We promote intellectual, social, and personal development to help prepare you for an increasingly complex world.
Apply for the Honors Program
- Honors Achievement Award: Current college students with 12 Maricopa College credits in courses numbered 100 or above and a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- Presidents' Honors Scholarship: New high school graduates in the top 20% of their graduating class or earning high scores on Maricopa placement tests may qualify for the Presidents’ Scholarship.
Enroll in Honors Courses
Students must enroll in at least one Phoenix College Honors course per semester. See available Honors Courses, Applications, & Contract Forms. Personalized curriculum advising and enrollment are available right from our office.

Graduation & Beyond
Students preparing to graduate with their Associate's degree or certificate can do so as an Honors Program graduate, earning a 'Honors Program' designation on their transcript and diploma. Requirements: must petition for graduation to PC Admissions and Records Office and have earned 15 Honors credits while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
