October is Domestic Violence Month

Domestic Violence manifests itself as psychological, physical and sexual attacks, often destroying a victim's independence.  In the U.S., 1 in 4 women, and 1 in 9 men, have been manipulated by an abusive partner or family member.  In other words, you likely know someone who has been abused in this way, or have even experienced it yourself.

Recognized throughout October, Domestic Violence Month is intended to remind us that no matter where it takes place, this form of abuse is everyone's problem.  Join Phoenix College's department of Student Life & Leadership: let's open the dialogue, and bring domestic violence out of the shadows.
