Dr. Laura Rendón will discuss the importance of Validating Agents, as well as Essential Strengths that can improve well-being and academic prowess. She'll also touch on demographic changes that are diversifying the student body, and ensuring students' needs are met.

Dr. Laura Rendón
Dr. Rendón is a nationally recognized educational activist, theorist, and researcher. Her career, and passion for helping today's students, reflects her experiences in overcoming adversity. She is co-director of the Center for Research and Policy in Education and Human Development at the University of Texas, San Antonio. She frequently speaks at colleges and universities around the country, where she discusses improving persistence and completion.
