The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Media Arts: Graphic Design degree is designed for students specializing in computer graphic design. It aids in the development of skills in graphic design and layout using the computer and serves to reinforce art principles. The curriculum provides for the development of personal interests, and enables those already employed in this field to upgrade skills. Occupations may include illustrator, layout, paste-up, freelance, video graphics, product designer, animator, photo-retoucher, art director, and advertising designer. Students desiring more intensive preparation may take courses beyond the 60-credit minimum requirement. This program is not designed for four-year transfers. A Certificate of Completion (CCL) is also available.
Students must earn a grade of "C" or better for all courses within the program.
