Notice: Fingerprint Clearance

The following EDU courses require a field experience: EDU220, EDU221, and EDU222. AZ State Law requires any person who participates in a teacher preparation program to obtain an “Identity Verified Print” (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card. It can take several weeks to obtain, so begin the process early.  IVP cards are valid for six years.

For pre-service Early Childhood / Elementary / Special Education Teachers/ Instructional Assistants / Teacher Aides

  • AAEE – Associate in Arts Elementary Education
    • (60-63 credits)
    • For university transfer into bachelor programs leading to teacher certification in Elementary Education (1st-8th), Special Education (K-12th), & Early Childhood Education (birth-3rd).
  • AA – Associate in Arts
    • (60-64 credits)

For Secondary Education majors planning to teach in a liberal arts area: Music, P.E., History, Social Studies, Math, English, or Foreign Language. Meet with an advisor to select appropriate courses.
