The Associate in Applied Science Degree or Certificates of Completion in Management I and II meet student's needs by providing skills necessary for management careers. These programs allow students the flexibility of completing a series of courses with an emphasis in management.

A student completing one of these programs with an emphasis in management will be better equipped to apply competencies needed for successful performance in management occupations in manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, and service industries.

Knowledge and Skills

PC’s program is designed to develop your skills in areas such as planning, organization, business communication, accounting and finance, human resources, sales, and marketing.

Skills and knowledge gained in the program include the ability to:

  • Apply the management principles of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling to solve commonly occurring managerial problems.
  • Describe the basic principles and techniques of management commonly used to employ, train, supervise, and evaluate employees.
  • Use basic accounting principles to develop and maintain business financial records.
  • Solve basic mathematical problems including discounts, markups, interest, credit, payroll, simple income tax, depreciation, financial statement, and insurance.

Career and Employment Outlook

The field of management is broad and and the salary range is dependent on the position and responsibilities as well as the organization. A person in this position may plan, direct, or coordinate one or more administrative services of an organization, such as records and information management, mail distribution, facilities planning and maintenance, custodial operations, and other office support services.
