Mathematics

Mathematics is the cornerstone of many well-known fields such as engineering, accounting, and computer science, but those pursuing a degree in mathematics have a variety of exciting careers open to them. Some mathematicians work with government agencies like the National Security Agency (NSA) writing algorithms for making and breaking secure codes. Other mathematicians work in banks as financial analysts deciding how best to invest money, and still others work in marketing firms as statisticians analyzing and applying data about consumers.
