STEAM Days '24
An annual signature event at PC, STEAM Days 2024 welcomed over 400 students to engage in immersive learning experiences in the sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the arts. Virtual Expert Panels and the in-person Resource Fair connected students to industry leaders, faculty, and people who are passionate about STEAM.
STEAM Days were more than a learning experience—they were a celebration. Students enjoyed music, food, and giveaways, including limited-edition STEAM shirts. A PC student shared: "It was great seeing so many resources in one place. I made connections I wouldn’t have had otherwise!"
The virtual portion of STEAM Days featured a lineup of impactful panels with leading experts:
Cybersecurity Dwight Ferris from Grand Canyon University shared cutting-edge insights into protecting online integrity.
Quantum Computing Glen and Tanay from Arizona State University delved into the transformative potential of quantum technologies.
Art & STEAM The fusion of creativity and innovation took center stage in the "Brushstrokes of Innovation" panel, highlighting the critical role of arts in advancing STEAM fields.
Student Feedback Participants expressed satisfaction with the panels, with one commenting: "The cybersecurity panel was eye-opening. It’s exciting to see how I can contribute to protecting digital systems in the future!" Another remarked: “Quantum computing seemed so far away, but now I see how accessible it is and how it could change everything.”
Held at Sophomore Square, the Resource Fair provided students with hands-on opportunities to explore internships, projects, and career paths through direct interactions with STEAM organizations and Phoenix College clubs.

The fair also showcased Phoenix College’s Honors Club, Robotics Club, and more, fostering a sense of campus community and collaboration.
