In Memory of Gene “Gino” Heppard
Gene “Gino” Heppard was a proud member of the Maricopa County Community College family for more than 25 years, serving compassionately at the heart of the Disability Resources and Services Department at Phoenix College for more than two decades. Gene created a culture of family for his colleagues, and cared for and inspired his team in all that he did. Gene loved to play checkers, chess and other games with friends and colleagues. In honor of Gene's service to PC, a memorial plaque and an accessible game table were installed at Phoenix College. Gene's game table serves as an enduring reminder of his loving spirit and dedication to ensuring equity and access.
You are invited to the dedication ceremony and reception on April 7, 2023 in Freshman Square, east of Bulpitt Auditorium. The plaque, game table, and reception are made possible with the generous support of Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association (AZSCIA) and Ability360.
