COM207 (Quick Course Search)	Communication Inquiry and Methodologies For COM majors only. The focus of this course is on scholarly writing and research skills related to communication theory and methodologies. It’s required for degrees in communication and will improve students’ functioning in their chosen careers. AA COM requirement. Prerequisite: ENG101 and COM100 or equivalent, or permission of instructor.
COM222 (Quick Course Search)	Argumentation This course is designed to introduce students to civil dialogue and formal debate strategies. They will learn how to effectively research all perspectives of an issue and use evidence and reason to craft arguments in order to persuade an audience. Learning how to analyze others’ arguments and be more persuasive in life will help students reap desired professional and personal rewards. Not offered every semester. Meets Gen. Ed., L. Prerequisite: ENG101 or equivalent, or permission of instructor.
COM225 (Quick Course Search)	Public Speaking Students with some or no prior public speaking experience learn to put theory into practice by giving a variety of informative, persuasive and special occasion speeches. Meets Gen. Ed., L and AA COM requirement. Prerequisite: ENG101 or ENG107.
COM230 (Quick Course Search)	Small Group Communication Small group work is a fact of life in today's society. Students learn theory and skills to help them become better participants and leaders in small group interactions. Meets Gen. Ed., SB, L and AA COM requirement. Prerequisite: ENG101 or ENG107.
COM241 (Quick Course Search)	Oral Interpretation of Literature Students will learn how to analyze and prepare dramatic literature and poetry for public performances. Study and practice in breath control, voice projection, effective use of gestures and various other performance techniques will enhance any future public speaking situations.
