Geographical Information System
Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.
If you’re always handed the map on a road trip or assigned as a navigator on a hike, consider the Geographical Information System (GIS) program at Phoenix College. PC offers courses in geographic information science and technologies, covering topics from cartography to global positioning systems and Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri).
While our GIS program does not lead to any specific degree, PC does offer a multitude of courses to satisfy the natural science requirements or electives needed for a certificate or Associate in Science. Completion of our courses could lead to work as a GIS technician and GIS analyst.
Discuss your course load with an academic advisor inside the Hannelly Enrollment Center (HC) at our historic, centrally located campus. Future students may contact the program director, Abeer Hamdan, for more information.
