This year’s Diane H. Thomas Transfer Scholarship winner is student Roberto “Robert” Martinez.

To be considered for this $10,000 scholarship, applicants had to submit an essay and personal statement that was reviewed by faculty, staff and alumni. The purpose of the scholarship is to help students transfer to a four-year institution so they can continue the work they started at Phoenix College.

Robert intends to use this scholarship to pursue his bachelor’s degree at ASU this fall. Please join us in congratulating Robert on all his hard work and wish him well as he begins at ASU soon.

The Diane H. Thomas Scholarship for Phoenix College graduates is a $10,000 scholarship awarded to a student planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. This scholarship was named after Ms. Diane H. Thomas who was many things: commercial photographer, television personality, small business owner, arbiter for the Better Business Bureau, author, freelance writer, photojournalist, and college instructor. Her legacy includes endowed scholarships at PC and Glendale Community College.
