PHOENIX (February 12, 2026) – Phoenix College (PC) is proud to announce Olina Fong (Ol-ee-na Fong) was selected for the 2025-26 All Arizona Academic Team. The award includes a tuition scholarship to one of the Arizona state universities, which are presented annually by the Arizona Board of Regents to exceptional Arizona community college transfer students based on outstanding academic performance and community service.

The Event

Olina will be honored for her academic achievements and exceptional leadership along with other students from around the state at the 2026 All-Arizona Team Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, April 22 from 12 - 2 pm at the Double Tree Hilton in Mesa. The keynote speaker will be Larry Edward Penley, Ph.D., who was appointed to the Arizona Board of Regents in 2015.  Regent Penley is the president of Penley Consulting, past president of the Thunderbird School of Global Management, former president of Colorado State University and past chancellor of the Colorado State University system.

About Olina Fong

Olina is a dual enrollment student at Phoenix College Preparatory Academy (PCPA) where she is a high school senior and also attends college classes at PC. She earned two associate degrees—an Associate in Arts with Highest Distinction and an Associate in Science with Highest Distinction—and is on track to earn her third, an Associate in Business, before receiving her high school diploma in mid-May 2026.

As Chief Development and Recruitment Regional Officer for Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and President of the Rho Pi Chapter, Olina continually looks for ways to serve. “I’m thinking, How can we make an even greater impact?” One of her biggest initiatives as a regional officer was creating their first Discord server to keep PTK members from all over Arizona connected.  Olina also serves as President of PCPA National Honor Society and participated in the Aspiring Youth Academy Scholar program, seeking ways to grow and give back to her community.

Olina plans to attend Arizona State University, double-majoring in Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy.  Her dream is to open an eco-friendly, motivational stationary business that empowers individuals to pursue their dreams and advocates for the use of sustainable materials.

All-USA

In addition to the full-ride scholarship, All Arizona Academic Team members are eligible for the All-USA Community College Academic Team, which is awarded to 20 students nationwide and includes an additional $5,000.
