Emergency Medical Technology
If you want to make a difference in people’s lives as a firefighter or licensed emergency medical technician (EMT), our program can empower you with the skills needed to manage a range of emergency situations in a variety of settings, including ambulance service companies, first responder agencies, fire departments, and hospitals.
Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.
Why Phoenix College
Why Phoenix College?
Those hoping to be an active member of the emergency medical services system may join the Emergency Medical Technology program at Phoenix College. PC offers an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in advanced emergency medical technology (paramedic) as well as an AAS in paramedicine. Also available at PC is a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in emergency communications and deployment, emergency medical technology, and paramedicine. PC’s paramedic program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
