Phoenix College Alumni

Alumni Councils

Advisory Council

The Alumni Advisory Council is a select group of 10-12 alumni business and community leaders who represent Phoenix College's popular academic/occupational programs or internal constituent groups. This Council exists to expand the Development Office's outreach into the local community and provide feedback and support on fundraising and friendraising initiatives with alumni.

The Alumni Advisory Council meets three times per academic calendar year (i.e. Fall, Spring, Summer). The Summer session is an all-day alumni retreat for both the Advisory and Engagement Councils.

Advisory Council members are appointed by the Phoenix College President, in collaboration with the Development Office. Members serve one-year terms with opportunity for invitation to renew for subsequent years. Alumni who wish to be considered for the Advisory Council can contact the Development Director at deborah.spotts@phoenixcollege.edu showcasing their experience in the academic or occupational program currently listed.

Engagement Council

The Alumni Engagement Council is comprised of seven highly-active Phoenix College alumni volunteers who each represent one of the seven pillars of focus of the Alumni Association (i.e. Alumni Outreach, Community Outreach, Half Century Development, History Makers Spotlight, Mentoring & Career Connections, Alumni Scholarships, and Student Outreach).

The Alumni Engagement Council meets three times per academic calendar year (i.e. Fall, Spring, Summer). The Summer session is an all-day alumni retreat for both the Advisory and Engagement Councils.

Engagement Council members are appointed by the Development Office. Alumni who wish to join the Engagement Council can show their interest by volunteering at alumni and student events on campus. For current volunteer opportunities, please read how you can Be Involved with the PCAA.
