Our Spaces and Hosting

CTL is housed on the second level of the F-building.  Our space features high tech classrooms designed for active learning, a place for faculty to relax, work and collaborate, and a multimedia lab.

Reception & Learning Lounge

Need a cozy and comfortable space for a quick meeting or webinar? Bring your mobile device, laptop or use the provided computer and settle down at the CTL reception and Learning Lounge -- a sitting and gathering area for webinars, one-on-one meetings, and quiet small group discussions. It can accommodate up to 10 people and is furnished with a computer and 60-inch LCD monitor.

L.E.A.D. Classroom

CTL is pleased to support the Learning, Engagement, and Discovery Classroom (L.E.A.D.) to engage students and enhance student learning. The space can accommodate up to 24 students and uses learning technologies such as laptops, iPads, cameras, 80-inch monitors, projection screen, and an interactive white board. This classroom is available to faculty committed to innovative teaching methodologies and who have an interest in learning about the most effective ways to teach within a mediated classroom space. Faculty are encouraged to submit a proposal to use the classroom for focused experimentation on a semester basis.

Training Room

CTL is thrilled to have a dedicated space to host workshops, faculty and employee development events and MCLI-sponsored events. The space can accommodate up to 30 people with beautiful movable furniture. The room technology includes 30 laptops, two 80-inch monitors and a projector system with screen. The room has adjacent access to a break room for food and drink. Please note that priority for this space is given to Phoenix College CTL and Maricopa training first, then instructional support, and finally event usage if open.

Faculty Workroom

Located within the CTL in F209, this space provides a quiet place for faculty to relax in between classes, create instructional materials, grade assignments, etc. There are five computer stations with copy/print capabilities. Across the corridor is access to the Multimedia Room, which offers video and audio recording capabilities to create instructional materials for courses, and provide audio feedback to students on assignments.

Multimedia Lab

Our outfitted studio allows for high quality assisted training and production for your video and audio projects, including 4k camera and professional microphones, green screen and full lighting, professional editing software, and more.
