ALL IN-PERSON CLASSES TO RESUME ONLINE APRIL 6

The following is an email sent out to Phoenix College students on 4/2/20. We are sharing this here in case you missed this communication and would like to share it with friends, family, students, etc. Below is the message sent from Dr. Johnson to all students.

All of us here at Phoenix College care about your health and well-being, as well as supporting you throughout your academic journey.

As a friendly reminder, all in-person/hybrid classes will resume on Monday, April 6, 2020 in an online format. Do not go to campus. All classes that were originally scheduled as online are continuing as scheduled. Check your Student Center and MyInfo App for more specific details about your courses. If you have not taken online classes before, you may find our tips for online learning and information about Canvas very helpful.

In order to provide the support you may need, all academic and student support services will continue to be offered remotely (e.g., by telephone, email, chat, and online).  All MCCCD campuses and locations will remain closed for in-person classes and services for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. We will continue to provide updates when additional information is made available.  As we all navigate the remainder of the Spring semester remotely, we kindly ask that you check the FAQs to find answers to your questions. In addition, our community resources web page provides a variety of resources, including information related to finances, housing, food insecurities, healthcare, and other types of support.

Be sure to contact the assigned faculty member for each of your courses. Each instructor will provide you with important information regarding course format changes, any modifications to the syllabus, assignments, and other related topics.

We are all in this together and your Phoenix College family is here for you. Even though we all are facing unprecedented circumstances, it is our goal to assist you in as many ways as possible -- both personally and academically.  I encourage you to check your Maricopa Gmail regularly and stay connected via our Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) @PhoenixCollege to get up-to-the-minute updates and resources available.

Sincerely,

Dr. Larry Johnson
