PC Online

Are you interested in or currently enrolled in an online, hybrid, or in-person class (see Types of Classes for further descriptions)? If so, you will use Canvas as your online learning environment. Use the resources on this page for useful tips to be successful in your class.

General Information

Phoenix College’s learning management system (LMS) is Canvas. Online learning can include any or all of the following:

  • Communication with your instructors through messages and viewing announcements for important course activities and due dates.
  • Accessing the course syllabus and course materials (which may include publisher-provided content).
  • Participating in discussions, submitting course assignments, or taking online quizzes and exams.
  • Tracking your course grades.

Get Started

Online Readiness

Assess your readiness for online learning by taking the 10-15 minute SmarterMeasure assessment. When you complete the assessment, you will be provided valuable feedback showing your strengths and weaknesses related to online learning. 

Canvas Orientation

It is recommended that you enroll in and complete the Getting Started with Canvas Student Orientation to familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of Canvas. The course takes approximately one hour to complete and is the best way to get started. You can earn a digital badge for completion.
