Orientation is a great way for new students, and families, to get a feel for life in our academic community.  You'll get tips for making the most of your experience, managing expenses, using CANVAS—the College's online learning portal—and much more.   

Join us virtually, during convenient evening and weekend hours, on: January 13, 15, 27.  We're here to help you start the semester right!

  

How to Participate

We welcome you to participate from the comfort of your home, or anywhere with a high-speed internet connection.  Each event will be hosted through an online tool called WebEx, which can be quickly downloaded to a computer or a mobile device.  Getting started is simple:

      COMPUTER
       •    Click on the main meeting links below, where you'll be prompted to log in.
       •    Please enter both your first and last names in the "User Name" field.

     MOBILE DEVICE
      •   Please download the WebEx Meet App through the Play Store or App Store.
      •   Following the download, click on the app.  You'll be promoted to log in.
      •   Please enter both your first and last names in the "User Name" field.

Following a brief welcome from Dr. Clyne Namuo, Interim President of Phoenix College,
essential topics will be explored, including:

  • Choosing a Major
  • Classroom Success in the 21st Century
  • Safety & Civility

 

Part B.  Explore Your Field of Interest, or FOI

Thursday Sessions:  6:15 – 7 pm
Saturday Session:    10:15 – 11 am

Part C.  Breakout Sessions

Each day concludes with short Breakout Sessions that focus on topics important to students, and their families.  Guests are invited to join two of the five meetings that interest them most.  Want to attend more than two Breakouts?   You're invited to return on another orientation day, or email us at pc-recruitment@phoenixcollege.edu, with questions about a particular topic.
