Programs in the Culture and Society Field of Interest are focused on acquiring a deep understanding of humanity, society, and human expression. These programs foster critical and analytical thinking and create flexible problem solvers who are ready to tackle complex global issues.
Our Culture and Society programs are also designed for easy transfer to a four-year college, and our students are prepared for a broad range of careers, including marketing, post-secondary teaching, law, translation, government law agencies, and private and government research groups and think tanks.
If you are ready to find the Culture and Society program that is right for you, select the option from the drop-down below that best fits your current goals.
University Transfer and Associate Degrees
With the university transfer option, you can complete most of your
general education coursework at the Maricopa Community Colleges and have
guaranteed acceptance to one of our over 40 university and college
partners to complete your Bachelor degree.
There are other Associate of Applied Science degrees that have been
designed to provide seamless transfer into a bachelor program, but
acceptance is not guaranteed. For more information, see the Get an
Associate Degree option below. The Associate degrees in this list give you
the opportunity for an in-depth study of your chosen field. If you decide
to move on to a four-year degree after graduation, you will need to work
with an advisor to confirm which classes will transfer, and acceptance is
not guaranteed.
Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete
courses at more than one of our colleges.

Certificates
A Certificate prepares you for entry-level work in your chosen field and
requires fewer classes than the Associate degree or university transfer
options. There are several types of certificates available, including
career, trade, and academic certificates.
Credits earned in a certificate program can often be used toward an
Associate degree. For more information, speak with an advisor.
