Dr. Heather Kruse

Dr. Heather Kruse assumed the role of interim president of Phoenix College on June 1, 2026.

Dr. Heather Kruse has dedicated more than 28 years of service to the Maricopa County Community College District, demonstrating a distinguished record of student-centered leadership, strategic vision, and institutional transformation.

Since 2018, she has served as Vice President of Student Affairs at Phoenix College, where she provides executive leadership for enrollment services, student development, retention and success initiatives, athletics, and Title IX compliance. In this role, she has championed innovative strategies that advance student achievement, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and foster a culture of belonging and accountability across the institution.

Her leadership experience, institutional knowledge, and commitment to our students make her exceptionally well-positioned to guide Phoenix College through this transition period.
