Disruptive Noise or Behavior

Disruptive Noise or Behavior

Any noise, loud talking, or physical behavior that is disruptive to other library users is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, talking loudly, shouting, loud cell phone discussions, shoving and running in the building, and playing audio at a high volume while on the computers.  No transportation devices are allowed in campus buildings.

When such incidents occur, the librarian on duty will ask the person creating the disruption to stop. As the Library is a large facility, and staff are not always near while disruptions are taking place, students are encouraged to report any noise issues to the librarians at the reference desk. If the behavior or noise continues, a Safety Officer may be called to assist with the problem.
